Skin treatments for your wedding

When it comes to your skin, you have many options for treatments and services that will give you the wedding look you want. Here are just a few of the most common that are recommended:

  • Medical treatment: If you suffer from an existing skin conditions, like psoriasis or eczema, you may already receive medical dermatology treatment. Medical treatments can help heal or manage skin conditions.
  • Laser hair removal: Laser hair removal is an option for removing hair from the body. It can be used in most areas, including bikini, legs, arms, chest, back shoulders, stomach, neck chin and sideburns.
  • Dermal infusion: Dermal infusion is similar to microdermabrasion but without the down time. It exfoliates, extracts and infuses skin with condition specific serums.
  • Chemical peels and specialized facials: Chemical peels can improve the texture and pigment of skin. Specialized facials can also address your specific concerns before you wedding day.
  • Injectables: These filler treatments can help you skin maintain its youthful appearance by addressing lines and wrinkles, reduce volume loss and “double chins.” They include products like Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane, Dermal Fillers and Kybella.
  • Facial waxing or tinting: If you can’t do laser hair treatment, you can have your brows, upper lip and/or chin waxed before the big day. Brow and lash tinting can also be done.
  • Microblading: Get the eyebrows of your dreams before the big day with microblading to enhance the shape and color of your brows.

Six to twelve months out

If you’ve got some time before you wedding, we recommend starting treatments about six to 12 months out. Some treatments are best when done over a longer period of time and some can be done regularly to maintain your perfect glow. You can also get at-home products to accompany these treatments to keep up your skincare routine. We recommend starting with:

  • Medical treatment
  • Laser hair removal
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Chemical peels and specialized facials

Three to six months out

Treatments for a few to six months out should focus on maintaining the look you want your skin to have, as well as adding additional treatments that may be best utilized closer to your wedding day. These can include:

  • Medical treatment
  • Laser hair removal
  • Injectables
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Chemical peels and specialized facials

Three to six weeks out

Your big day is right around the corner! If you didn’t have months to plan your wedding or are just thinking about skin treatments, have no fear! There’s still time to treat your skin and get it wedding-ready. We recommend the following treatments about a month from your wedding date:

  • Medical treatment
  • Injectables
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Chemical peels and specialized facials
  • Facial waxing and tinting
  • Microblading

One to two weeks out

Now you’re putting together the last pieces of your wedding day, which is only a couple weeks away. Remember not to try any new treatments or intense therapies at this time. There are still a few options for you to maintain your skin or to start your skin treatments for your wedding day. These can include:

  • Medical treatment
